Independence

We work with the best hearing aid manufacturers in the world and offer all types of hearing aids. As an independent Audiology hearing clinic, we aren’t owned by any manufacturers and can offer the best evidence-based, experienced advice on suitable models and fittings.

Hearing aids are a vital solution to many hearing difficulties in life and provide a better hearing life for the wearer and their family. They are small digital devices that are programmed by our Audiologist in-house with you and help reduce the mismatch between your potential hearing and your actual hearing. Well-fitted hearing aids that are monitored over the years then work to strengthen the brain’s connections. We use hearing aids to help people with hearing loss to hear more clearly. At Waves Hearing, we match the person to the hearing aids depending on several factors of need, preference and suitability. We’ll find the best hearing aid for you.

Behind-the-ear (BTE)

Sits behind the ear and amplifies sound through a tube that connects to an earpiece in the ear canal.

Suitable for most types of hearing loss, easy to adjust and clean. Very appropriate for poor dexterity.

More visible; depending on the user’s hair.
